Tirana and Kruja City Tour

Pick you up from your hotel in Tirana.  From the Albanian capital, we will head north to the town of Kruje, just one hour away. Kruja is just 39km away from Tirana.

After arrival we start with walking tour towards the Bazaar, located on the main road leading to the Castel of Kruja.  The Kruja Bazaar is famous for being one of the oldest in Albania. The construction of the beautiful and fascinating marketplace of Krujë dates back over 400 years and was the starting point of free trade among the city’s most established merchants. Proceed to the fortress through the main gate and inside it we will visit  Skanderbeg Museum.

The National Museum dedicated to the hero is housed in the famous Kruja Castle and shows both the legendary hero’s history and the traditional way of life of the city’s population. Inside this impressive building, we will admire a collection of unique artifacts that transport us back to the 15th century.

After visiting the museum, we will take a walk through the Kruja bazaar. Its most popular items are kilim (carpets) and the qeleshe (the traditional hat), although you can buy almost anything. This is a great opportunity to buy a souvenir of your amazing holiday!
